1. Who we are
The data controller for this website and related services is T-Line Aqua (Pty) Ltd t/a T-Line Programming (referred to as T-Line Programming in customer-facing copy). VAT No. 4180282065 (for billing and supplier identification, where applicable). Contact: info@tlineprogramming.co.za.
2. What we collect
We only collect information we reasonably need to run the Services, bill subscribers, keep accounts secure, and improve the product. This may include:
- Account data: email address, password hash, display name or similar profile fields you provide, plan tier, and account timestamps.
- Tool usage data: QR payloads you create, saved private QR history (where the feature exists), and related metadata needed to show your dashboard.
- Messages you send us: content of emails or contact form submissions.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, approximate timestamps, and server logs for security and troubleshooting.
- Billing references: subscription status and identifiers from PayFast (we do not store full card numbers on our servers—see below).
3. Payments (PayFast)
Card and banking details for paid plans are collected and processed by PayFast, our payment partner. We receive confirmation of successful payments, transaction references, and subscription status needed to unlock your plan. We do not store your full card number or CVV on our own systems.
4. Why we process data (legal basis style)
Under South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and similar concepts elsewhere, we rely on one or more of the following, as appropriate:
- Performance of a contract — to provide the Services you signed up for.
- Legitimate interests — for example securing accounts, preventing abuse, improving reliability, and basic analytics that do not override your rights.
- Consent — where we ask for it clearly (for example marketing emails, if we offer them separately).
- Legal obligation — where the law requires us to retain or disclose information.
5. How long we keep data
We retain information only as long as needed for the purposes above: while your account is active, for a reasonable period afterward to resolve disputes and meet legal/tax record-keeping, and as otherwise described in product-specific settings (for example QR history retention limits shown on the site).
6. Who we share data with
We share personal information only with service providers who help us operate the Services, under appropriate safeguards:
- PayFast — payment processing and subscription management.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers — where the application and database run.
- Email or notification providers — if we send transactional email through a third party.
We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures (such as access controls, encryption in transit where appropriate for our stack, and secure password storage) to protect personal information. No online service can be 100% secure; please use a strong, unique password.
8. Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete certain personal information, object to some processing, or lodge a complaint with a regulator. To exercise rights or ask questions, email info@tlineprogramming.co.za from your account email where possible so we can verify you.
9. Cookies and analytics
We may use cookies or similar technologies needed for login sessions and basic site operation. If we add optional analytics cookies, we will describe them and, where required, ask for consent before non-essential tracking.
10. International users
Our primary operations are in South Africa. If you use the Services from another country, your information may be processed in South Africa or in regions where our hosting providers operate, always with appropriate safeguards where we can apply them.
11. Children
The Services are not aimed at children under 13 (or the higher age required in your country). If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
12. Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The version and effective date at the top of this page will change when we do. Material changes may be highlighted on the site or by email where practical.
